Discover Limoges

Limoges lies at the heart of an urban area of 260,000 inhabitants that is the main economic hub in the Centre-West of France and enjoys a central location making it ideal for all kinds of exchanges.

The city is situated at the crossroads between the motorway from Spain to Northern Europe and the route between Central Europe and the Atlantic. With an international airport, regular rail connections to Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon and Toulouse, and a future TGV high-speed train connection bringing the city within 2 hours of Paris, Limoges has plenty of assets to attract people and businesses.

Renowned for its enamel in mediaeval times, Limoges has since gained an international reputation for its porcelain. With heritage dating back two thousand years, the city has also earned its place as a "Town of Art and History" and is a popular destination with tourists.

Benefiting as it does from all the services you would expect of a regional capital, plus a protected and unspoilt environment, the city attracts 2,500 new inhabitants each year, to whom the municipality extends a warm, personalised welcome.
