Foire Exposition (“Limoges Show”) - in may With 100,000 visitors and more than 400 exhibitors in a park of 45,000 m², the Limoges “Show-Exhibition” (Foire Exposition) is a benchmark event on the national circuit. It is the Limousin region’s major economic meeting place in the spring season. The event’s cultural features are emphasised with a focus on special themes, in particular through exhibitions of a historical nature (China, Egypt, Pompeii etc.) Saint-Loup - aroud the 22nd may The traditional fair of Saint-Loup was created in 1525, in honour of Loup, the Bishop of Limoges. It takes place in the last weekend of May, bringing together around 300 street vendors and stallholders in the main streets of Limoges city centre, for a wonderful Sunday festive event where everything is to be found, from furnishing fabrics to costume jewellery…. Saints-Innocents - around the 28th December The Fair of Saints-Innocents is four centuries old. Like the Fair of Saint-Loup, it was created in 1566 by an edict of Charles IX. Today, it still attracts street vendors to the principal streets of the City of Limoges, for the grand popular market of the winter season (around 28th December, traditional date of Holy Innocents’ Day).

The fête des ponts (“Bridges Fair”)Week of 21st June on the banks of the Vienne River For almost a week, in celebration of the Feast of St John, the banks of the Vienne (from the Saint-Martial bridge to the Saint-Etienne bridge) become the venue for a large popular and family event with numerous activities: funfair, dance, fireworks display, sports activities, second-hand market. This event is organised by the Events Committee of Pont Saint-Etienne, in collaboration with local associations and the Limoges City Council, and welcomes more than 10,000 people each year.
