Ten Information and Dialogue Committees (CIC) covering the commune as a whole were set up following a decision by the Municipal Council on 1st July 2002.

Role

A CIC is a place for information, exchange and dialogue:

• The Municipality presents its projects, whether or not they are part of the programme of the term of office, explains the reasoning behind them, their state of progress, and the financial, technical and legal constraints of their implementation,
• it enables inhabitants and associations to be consulted on any project that concerns local districts or has an effect on all respects of the future of these districts, and to take part in the definition of new projects,
• it contributes to the life of the district and strengthens social bonds,
• it offers mutual exchange between inhabitants and elected members of the Municipal Council.

The CIC is a dialogue authority that can draw up proposals on all aspects of local life.

Composition

The CICs are made up of members who, through their place of residence and their role in office or in associations, contribute to local life. Based on voluntary involvement, they are composed of:

• any inhabitant, on the electoral list or not, who is committed to serving the general interest and taking part in regular meetings (except in circumstances out of their control);
• one representative per association who can prove his or her activity in the district in question,
• members of the Municipal Council.
